• Our friend Kelly Lancaster, guitarist and mandolin player extraordinair has been diagnosed with, and is being treated for Pancreatic cancer.  Kelly plays with Greg Harbar's gypsie band, and is probably the most talented guitar player we've ever known.  Knowing how many amazing artists know Kelly, have worked with Kelly, and care about Kelly, this event will likely be an amazing one, not to mention unique.  Come spend the afternoon with us, and many others who wish to help raise funds for Kelly's medical bills, and other expenses during his time of need.

• This is a great family event put on by families, for families.  Thousands come each year to celebrate at the Germanfest.  The church has their own German choir and dance group, and they also bring Alpenfest, Alpenmusikanten, The Rathkamp German Folk Dancers, and Das Ist Lustig to perform every year at their event.  It's a total blast, and it's highly recommend.  Especially if you're in the southern part of Louisiana, or East Texas!  Even the food is unique - German sausage and sauerkraut served on a bed of Cajun rice.  It doesn't get any better than that!  Oh, and the home baked deserts are great too! ...and yes, there's beer, and even a TV so you won't miss the game!
