Valina was well trained in German dance by friends in the Rathkamp German folk dance group, and hopes to see some of the high school graduates she's coached join the Rathkamps when they return from college.  Of course, they can always audition to be a Lustige Tanzer!

Valina is always researching German folk dances.  Trips to Europe over the past 11 years have proved fruitful in new folk dances to introduce to Texas.  Valina spends long hours breaking down the dances, and describing in writing how each move must be executed.  Many of the dances she hopes to teach are still without music.  Hopefully Das Ist Lustig can help with that matter.
